Eagle’s Nest is well known by many visitors. But besides the touristic attraction, there is far more to see from Bavaria. Come with me to Berchtesgaden on one of my organized trips. Exclusivity, away from mass tourism and the entertainment you have always wanted.
Write me when you would like to do a trip and let us talk about your dream.
Bavaria offers many places for a good time-out. I love to visit Königssee for my painting vacations. Not far from here you find the eagle’s nest. The place is really full during summer and if you want to visit it, make an early reservation and plan.
I guided many groups to this place, but sincerely, if you like history and want to have more information and enjoy the visit, book a private day tour. On the way back from there, you can do two stops and visit Bechtesgaden and Königssee, or King’s lake. The picturesque landscape and activities outside from busy places are very inspiring.
Eagle’s Nest
The Eagle’s Nest opens for Summer only. The historical viewpoint high above Berchtesgaden: the Eagle’s Nest on top of Mount Kehlstein (1,834 m/6,017 ft) provides a breathtaking panoramic view, and this is one of the points I like to mention, that in big groups, sometimes you don’t have the time to enjoy it.
The building was completed in 1938 and in 1960 the Bavarian State entrusted it to a foundation. The Eagle’s Nest is managed by the tourist region of Berchtesgaden-Königssee company and run as a mountain restaurant.
I offer here a link to the website from the ticket center, if you want to do it by yourself.
